Doraemon XR Ride: Nobita and the Utopia is a virtual reality rollercoaster that immerses guests in the world of the latest Doraemon movie, “Doraemon the Movie: Nobita and the Utopia.” The attraction will use VR technology to create a 360-degree view of the world of Doraemon and will feature a sense of speed and gravity unique to an XR ride.
Guests will board a small airship and ride along with Doraemon and Nobita in an overwhelmingly realistic atmosphere where the beautiful images and ride experience are perfectly synchronized. The ride will also feature “secret tools” from the Doraemon series, such as the “Small Light” and the “Door to Anywhere.” Original characters from the movie, Sonya, a perfect cat-shaped robot, and Marimba, a bounty hunter, will also appear in the ride. The ride will take guests on a thrilling tour of “Paradapia,” an ideal world in the sky where everyone can be perfect, but the tour is interrupted by Marimba’s search for a girl in Paradapia, leading to a high-speed chase.
The ride will take place at Universal Studios Japan from February 23, 2023, to September 3, 2023
